I´m hideous :(

Hi,

I just got stopped on the street today by a guy who laughed at my face and said I was a minger. And last week there was a very very beautiful girl walking in front of me and all the guys would stop and turn and whistle etc... and a group of guys were walking in my direction after having seen her and they pointed at me and said "This girls is nothing like the other one.....she s so ugly !!!" .

I am officially crushed.

Anyone want to share horror tales ?

Unfortunately it is true.....the worst part is I was not in a particularly chavy area.....and I´m 17. I am really really upset because it´s the first time something like this has been said about me, and I am starting to wonder if it is really so .... :frown:

It's really not impossible, stuff like that can happen.

My friend got stuff shouted at her over christmas by some guys while out in Town that wasn't very complimentary, they were chavs though...

You're 17, you're still growing. Chances are you'll change in a few years anyway. Every single person I know thinks that they're ugly, even that pretty blonde you were talking about. Then ofcourse, there are the people who need a good kick and have their head up their own arses.

Chances are you're probably a lot less 'hideous' then you realise. Seventeen is not a fun age to have someone do that to you though!

I once had a girl I had a massive crush on laugh at me and call me a freak. That hurt, I got over it. Realisation: She was a bitch and not worth my time.

I appreciate it's not nice being told you're ugly, but well, it happens.

I am not the best looking person at all. It's the way I am, and it's just not that pretty - but it's the only face, body I've got.

I'm trying to be more outgoing about myself, I think it's working - I come across as more confident, so people just kind of surf on that and get a good vibe from me rather than my face :p:

Don't worry about it too much, really. Just be who you are, do what you want and what you believe, and do it with passion. You only live once.

Edit: I agree with Nix! too - after all, these people are judging you on the basis of apperance - and who are they to do that? They're idiots, and will get nowhere.

Pretty much anyone can look decent if they just try hard. Nice hair is always a big plus, and anyone with a little time can get that. Figure can be worked on in the gym or whatever.

On the other side of the spectrum it can be pretty depressing trying to talk to some girls. Sometimes they're clearly too intimidated for me to talk to properly. Sometimes they try too hard to please me, anything and everything I say will be perfect. It'd be nice for a change once in a while. I'm not an animal in the zoo, you don't have to stare at me. Or sit all the way across the bus from me and look at my reflection constantly until you avoid my look when I notice. Wouldn't swap it, but it would be nice to take a day or two out.
