Problem with friend...

My friend and I have been good friends now for almost six years, and we are now at sixth form together and are in a class for one of our subjects. Recently the topic of coursework came up and I submitted my idea for a project first. He then went and submitted one which was similar to mine and he wasnt allowed to do it. He then got really angry with me and started swearing. He says he has been mentioning it for moths and that he wanted to do it, but I didn't know this and I didn't mean to "steal" his idea. He hasnt talked to me since and refuses to even acknowledge my presence. I don't know what to do, should I just ride it out or say something? Thanks

He's acting a bit childish if you ask me. Try to talk to him about it and if not give him some space.

he'll get over it.

It hasnt gotten any better, I mean he did talk to me a bit on Friday, but it was really only a message from his mum. He was avoiding me the whole day even though were were practically sitting next to each other during one lesson.

OK today things got really bad, in football he and I got drawn together and he just down and out refused to play in my team. He just left and played with another team. I know everyone has said just wait but it is getting hard to do so.

Gee, what a friend. Whatever you do don't sacrifice your education for a whining child!

Honestly, he sounds like a little bit** child. IF he wants to act like a drunken midget, let him.

(what drunken midgets have to do with anything, I have no idea... :s-smilie: )
