Best Study Resources/Revision guides for A-Level AQA Biology & Chemistry?

Pretty much what the title says. I've been using the CGP books for GCSE and have been pretty good for most subjects. However, I've seen many people say they're not the best for A-Level as they don't go into enough detail and you need the official exam endorsed textbook or something like that. I'm not sure what to buy. Some also say it's good to have more than one as well?
If you've studied or are studying these subjects it would be great if you could share any other useful study resources too!

For books I would recommend using the Nelson Thornes books as I found them easy to understand and make notes from. I only used the CGP book just to quickly look over things when I couldnt be bothered to read my notes.

For AQA Chemistry (also some OCR stuff on there too): http://chemrevise.org/ the notes on there are so easy to understand.
