Hi, I'm revising for my PSYA4 exam on Tuesday and was wondering about IDA. I've looked through all of the Schizophrenia part of the text book and cannot find any IDA, does that mean it is not needed?! I was just wondering because in the PSYA3 essays of 24 marks you do need it to score highly on AO2?

Also does this apply with media?

Thank you

You may notice that the PSYA4 questions are different from the PSYA3 ones- especially the Psychology In Action section (media) which often have questions solely for AO1 and then questions solely for AO2 marks; the questions are more about applying your knowledge to given scenarios so IDA points aren't as important.

They can still be used for a lot of Schizophrenia questions though. For example: when discussing biological explanations, reductionism/determinism/holism, etc, may still be relevant.

My teacher hasn't even mentioned IDA to us! Oops. However, she's given us perfect 24 marker plans to just memorise, where IDA is linked in with AO2, just to make it easy to remember. We know we need the 4 "boxes" (two marks for each) and then we need say 5/6/7 AO2 peels.
