Hot toddy - whiskey, lemon, warmed up. I hate whiskey but most people seem to say that works.
Strepsils for me though, I'm a good girl.

When you have a cold your trachea gets inflamed causing tracheitis, one of the best solutions is breathing in hot steam, get a bucket and fill it with hot water and then put a towel over your head and breathe in the steam, its also good for your skin

Have you got a sore throat? If nothing hurts then it could be laryngitis.
red rose - thanks for that advice, it sounds like it might work, defo going to go and try that:smile:

erm hannah dru - dont scare me, haha, nah i havnt got a sore throat, oh no pleasee i dont want to go to the doctor:frown:
Listerine antiseptic gargle, clears it up in 1-2 hours.

Aww I'm sorry!!! Don't worry it's not really scary at all, and I don't think you'd need to go to a doctor if it was. When I had it I tried not to talk and I think I still had throat sweets and hot lemon.
I hope you feel better soon!

Oh, actually- manuka honey can be good.

Cigarette smoke made me lose my voice once. Couldn't talk properly for about 4 days. OP, rest your voice, lots of warm drinks and definitely don't sing!! If possible, don't talk at home.
