I heard that anything between once every 3 days and 3 times a day is normal - so from that it is extreme.

Make sure you are getting plenty of fibre in your diet - are you constipated when you do go?

You should definitely be pooing more than once a fortnight!!! It is probably down to bad diet. Eat more fibre?

i am eating a very healthy diet and do have alot of fibre etc, it doesnt seem to matter what i eat, no when i do go its fine but i just never feel i need until then

At least once a day, but then again i have IBS.

I dont' know what you eat at the moment, try eating brown bread, eating more fruit, and cutting back on the junk food. It's amazing what a change in diet can do.

I'd see a doctor immediately, because quite frankly, it's not normal. Once every 48 hrs is the norm AFAIK. Good luck

I think I didn't make myself clear.

AFAIK (which means it's not a fact) you should have a crap at least (being the key words I missed out last time) once every 48 hours. Is this information wrong?

Btw, I did not in any way imply that you are a 'freak' if you don't go for a no.2 within 48 hours. :yy:

yeah, just eat laxcitives, and don't go anywhere too far away froma toilet. No it's not normal. You must do really big ****s, or be really fat, or have a really weird digestive system. Hopefully it's the latter. Good luck with your poo.

Every day is the standard. Once a fortnight is really not right, are your portion sizes decent?

I'm sorry, I don't really know whether you're normal or not. I think you should see a doctor if you are concerned, but if you are healthy, it's probably not a problem.

Anyway, I just wanted to butt in and say, despite what several people have said, DO NOT take laxatives. It's probably not even a good idea to eat mints and coffee and other things that have a laxative effect on your system. The reason for this is that if you use those things to prompt you to go to the bathroom often (and it sounds like you'd need to, with the rate you're going), your body will begin to rely on them to have bowel movements, and you'd have major problems going on your own if you ever wanted to stop laxatives/other diuretics.

Also, if you have always pooed only once every two weeks and the weight gain has only started recently, the weight gain probably has nothing to do with how often you use the bathroom.
