Uni choices

I want to study near to where I live which Is Manchester, I've looked at Manchester university and I'm not sure I'll get the grades needed to get in. Is Salford uni a good uni for maybe studying psychology or English? Has anyone been or is at Salford uni atm pls tell me about your experiences of if you think it's a good uni
