Somehow I managed to sleep in until 4pm today, and seeing as I have to get up at 6am tomorrow (technically later on today..) I decided I might as well not sleep.

So, what do you guys usually do to stay awake all night? I have stuff that'll keep me busy until
about 4am, but aside from consuming copious amounts of caffeine and sugar it'd be interesting to hear what ideas other folks have

FYI: I usually get 3-4 hours' sleep, so an all-nighter isn't exactly a huge deal.

Usually just spend hours on YouTube to see which weird realm I end up in, haha.
Or TSR for that matter.
I read a lot of pointless articles. Buzzfeed, Cracked.com, etc.
Peruse iTunes and see if there are any new artists to discover.
Play my Xbox (biggest mistake of university so far).
Read fanfic.
Cook. Nothing beats 4am cooking. Nothing.

Television or better yet video games.

Television is great, especially if it is a new TV show. But you can fall asleep playing television. Whereas if you are immersed in a game it is difficult to fall asleep. I'd recommend reading, but I've fallen asleep clutching a book so many times it might just have too high a failure rate. Seeing as how is summer, and will be fully light in about 40 mins time you could get yourself out the house. Nothing beats a walk at this hour in broad daylight with not another soul in sight.

What you should do is revise till 2am and wake back again at 4am, 2 hours sleep is more than enough for me to survive, when you wake have a nice bath, it will make be in a good mood 😄
I think it's the best pattern I've found and you get to see the sun rise as you wake 👌🏼

Stay hydrated (drink LOTS of water), eat protein-rich food and slow energy-releasing food and iron-rich food, make sure your room is well-lit (so no crappy lighting), take regular breaks.

If you're just staying up for the heck of it and have no assignments to get in and no need to be productive with your time, just chill I guess. I can stay up all night watching movies, series, playing Sims (oh yeah), hanging out and chatting with people (done this loads), practicing piano...

play chess. I find that keeps me awake all night. Several nights in a row actually. Unfortunately I lost the first to five match 5 - 4. but I rematched in a first to three and won 3 - 2 so that's ok.
