Most likely, some of the universities that you mention openly support BTECs.

Sheffield University letter of recognition for BTEC level 3:

Aston University letter of recognition for BTEC level 3:

Each university is different and you will contact them to find out if they accept BTEC as an appropriate qualification. The minimum grade they will most likely accept will be around DDM or DDD.

"Typical offers:

BTEC, Access & other: BTEC National Diploma DDD. Access to HE students are eligible to apply for this course."

Would I be at a disadvantage by doing a BTEC National Diploma in Business?
I did Business at AS level and I received B.
I just want to go to a decent university and hopefully come out with a decent degree.

I have a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma and achieved D*D*D* I received offers for all 5 choices and 2 unconditional offers from two RG universities, Leeds and York, and I accepted the offer from Leeds in Electrical engineering.

A Levels and BTECs both have their advantages and disadvantages. BTECs prepare you for more independent learning and good for those don’t excel at exams, but A levels will prepare you better for the exams that are at university but independent learning might be more difficult to adjust to.

BTECs are becoming more recognised, even Oxbridge accepts them (with one A level being taken alongside), but A level are seen as more the traditional root into university. Doing a BTEC will have some limitations, as it is a vocational qualification, but the university you go to with a BTEC will only be limited by grade, much like an A level.
