can't stop thinking about it.

This will sound really silly i'm sure and i feel silly even writing about it, but a few ago myself and two friends saw a guy get stabbed. He didn't die but there was a lot of blood and it was a scary experience. Anyway, since then i havn't been able to stop thinking about it, i can't get the images out of my head and i don't want to leave my house. Neither of my friend have reacted like this and think i'm being stupid. Not really sure what to do to make myslef feel better...

try speeking to your parents about it, but this best thing to do is try to get on with life, go out and have fun. Seriously if you stay at home the pictures are not going to fade.

i know what you mean, i saw people get run over in town (front page of the mercury where someone ran an island then crashed into people, for anyone in leicester that may have seen it) and i saw some pretty scary stuff.
you might find it best to talk to your friends and find out what they have done to get on. ultimatly thats what you need to do. what you saw you will probably, and hopfully, never see again. just take your time with geting back to n ormal.
Good grief - no, you're not being silly at all and it's normal to react strongly to an incident like that. Maybe there's someone you can talk to? If you've got no one you feel happy speaking to, maybe you could call some kind of helpline or speak to your Connexions adviser, if you have one (mine was great to talk to about things that were upsetting me, as well as study issues)? The Samaritans helpline/email service is very good just for letting you pour everything out, and it could just be you really need to talk about it rather than letting it build up.

Hope you feel better soon. :hugs:

You aren't being silly I promise. I've been in a similar position to you and it took me months to really get over it. You'll be back to normal eventually, but don't stay in your house because I think that the longer you leave it the worse it will be.

I know it's the typical response, but you really do need to talk to people about it. You never know, your friends might be saying exactly the same thing on a different forum. And even if they aren't, there's always going to be a nice sensitive person around somewhere that you can talk to, no?
Sounds like you're suffering from Post Traumatic Stress. Have a chat with your parents about how you're feeling, it'll help, trust me. You could also chat with your GP about being referred for counselling which will help you 'grieve' and get over your traumatic experience. Good luck x
