Nervous about a Date

Right this dude asked me out on a date next friday night. We have been talking for about 3 weeks and even though we talk on msn and we txt each other all the time, I'm nervous about it...

All my mates are shocked at me as Im not one to be nervous.. like ever! But i don't know... something's making me nervous about this...

He's turning 18 in a few weeks and he's said that "it would be nice to be seeing someone while I'm turning 18, a bonus would be if it were u", going by a txt he sent me... So he is sweet (or just tryin to get out with me lol).

The other night, he txt me at midnight and asked me to go out for a drive and he would have me back at 1am (I had an exam the next day) but I said no... I usually wouldn't care about the exam and stay out with him, but again the nerves kicked in!

WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?? AM I BROKEN??? lol

That just sounds like common sense.

What fudge said. Except it hasn't happened to me, but most of my mates ask about it so its fairly similar. Basically, he digs you. A lot. And girls never (NEVER) mess up first dates. Sort of. Anyway, you've done all the hard work, he likes you, you like him, just relax and let it go. Don't feel scared about it, look forward to it. Like its christmas or something. Not really, but often guys will spend money like its christmas, so just pretend.

I don't think you do. I'd do the same if I had an exam.

Yeah, I never really get asked to help guy on guy (or unfortunatly girl on girl) relationships in real life. Anyway, you both like each other, just go see him and it'll feel natural from there. You're a guy so I'm guessing you don't have problems with getting hammered around people you like. Again that'll be my answer, though you only really need to go on a single date with him (sober or hopefully otherwise) and it'll be fine from then on.

hmm I wouldnt date him - I think that he just wants sex - I am sorry, but that's how I would take it... and about dates- I am so nervous about it, that I can't simply make myself to go !!! It really kills me, maybe I am just too immature yet for dates :P don't laugh !

Practice mate, practice. I personally find them a bit of a joke now. Sometimes try a new theme, constantly talking and not listening, going out dressed in a bow tie, I need something for a challange to be honest.

Any good ideas what I could do in the future?

Oh NO NO!! He aint looking for sex!!! I made it VERY clear that I don't sleep with anyone til I get to know them and hes exactly the same!

See I think something exciting is better than just a normal date.. Like rock climbing... :p:

Damn, being gay has its advantages. You always need exciting dates really, but girls are boring as hell, don't do stuff like rock climbing.

Lol, meh. Girls are more romantic i think... Guys just wanna have fun :p:

I've really found girls just have a basic set of rules. Do this and they'll love you. Do that and they don't. Lazy mans dating. Obviously girls are a little more complex than that, but when you look as good as me it breaks down a bit.

Ugh, I'm so happy I'm not gay.

Reply 18

really? are you?

Reply 19

Hey, I could never be gay, but I must admit it has its advantages.
