Messy ex situation

I went out with this guy in the summer for a day and then he broke up with me telling me he was too depressed for a relationship, we spoke on msn after the 'break up' and he said he was in and out of hospital being treated for anxiety problems etc. A few months later he told me he still liked me and asked me out again and I said yes because I still liked him. He then broke up with me the next day saying that his feelings had changed. Today he called me saying he's really sorry and wants to sort stuff so he came over for an hour and we talked loads and he mentioned us getting back together but I didn't say anything back to it so he changed the subject quickly. The thing is I think I still like him so i text him saying do you still have msn?(because after he messed me around the second time I told him not to contact me again and we deleted eachother off msn/myspace etc)and I get delivery reports when the person has read the text and got one from the text i've sent him so I know he's read it but he hasn't replied. I just don't know where to go from here...
