Basically they
A) Love you in the family way...you know great guy best mates no sexyness
B)They are hot for you but won't admitt it for some reason which would cause them embarrasment/upset
Its A 99% of the time...
Unlucky mate!

Yes that phrase is similar to "I like you as a friend".

However boys translate this to "I have no sexual attraction to you whats-so-ever.

What he said.
With this sort of start to a thread, you cant seriously expect a full physical and personality lesson on what most girls are attracted to which an alpha male like myself could give you. however, the very fact that you have no clue where to start and seem to be lacking in the communications and confidence department, that would seem to be a good start. talk to girls first. when you can do that, confidently it will come much easier to recognise what they like. you must remember that not all girls have the same type, so perhaps you have not met the right one yet.

however, I know for one that a lot like good body (broad shoulders), nice hair, nice body, can hold a good convo, make them laugh, etc etc. some like to stick to the typical: talk, dark, handsome. however, you have to make the best of what you got. so, my son, got get em.
Stubo.....what?

what you've posted seems to have nothing to do with this thead lol.

Oh, is that so? Considering that he has a problem with his personality or his looks etc I was under the strange impression that it did. The reason they see him as a brother is not because hes a great hit with the ladies, amazing body, cracking personaility and generally as great as me.

is that to me? oh well: clingyness - obviousness - too forward. (ie came across as a bit desperate) yuk, it's more fun to do the chasing. and it was looks a bit aswell but only after i found him annoying. he turned out to be a bit of a c*** as well after my friend had an *experience* with him.

Exactly, so my original post stands.
ugh that alpha male thing has got to be the biggest turn off in the world. *look at me i feel the need to put on a fake, arrogant, chauvanistic personality in order to make people like me!!!* yuck

op: im afraid it means she really likes you but doesnt want to go out/sleep with you. shes saying she only likes you as a friend.
Yes but...Stubo....the OP wasn't asking for advice. He only asked for a definition. Nothing more, nothing less.

lol that is not what I meant. never mind. my confidence is justified.
as everyone said,

"i love you like a brother " - loosely translated nicely means - "you will never see me naked"

I say it to people who I'm very close to but in a sort of just friends, nothing more, way.
'I see him a bit like an annoying older brother, you know? No attraction there, we're too similar.'

Great line for trying to tell people you don't fancy a mutual friend.. when in fact you are utterly in love with him :p:

But generally, if she's said it to your face, she wants to put you off. Sorry :frown:
