Hi, for the UKCAT you should check out the official website,
http://www.ukcat.ac.uk/
there's lots of clips and useful tips for how to get started on revising for the UKCAT. There's also a list of all the universities that require the UKCAT and if you attend any open days or higher education fairs for universities that you interested in, you should ask them how far they look into your UKCAT score, for example, Liverpool do look at the UKCAT score and take into a lot of consideration before they give out offers to applicants.
Also, there's a UKCAT book that you can get from any bookstore such as WHSmith or Waterstones and it costs around 15 pounds. It contains around 600 practice questions and it is actually so useful.
There are alternative routes to study Medicine by going through Clinical Sciences or Biomedical Sciences but these courses are highly competitive so you will have to research further into them before you make a decision.
Hope this was helpful

Alternative course to university would either be to:

Take a Gap year

Do the access medicine course and then apply for medicine

Do a biomedical science degree and then apply for medicine when you've graduated with that

You have to look at the universities that require a C in English Language.
Also, apply to universities which are your strength.
You will have to revise for the UKCAT by buying books and also buy Medify.

Hi,
First thing - change your attitude. You're not going to do well if you don't believe that you can (obviously the confidence will come with practice). Next if you haven't already, buy some books. They don't necessarily have to be Ukcat specific, they can focus on a particular aspect e.g. verbal reasoning only. Start off slow and do around 5-10 questions a day (not timed) and build up eventually. Make sure you do some timed tests as well and I'd personally recommend a later Ukcat date (mine was close to October last year and the extra revision time helped tonnes). But just practice and relax, that's all you can do really.

Some unis actually do foundation years or offer extra support so you may want to check those out if your grades aren't up to scratch.

Alternatives tend to be:
Biomed
Medical science
Pharmacology
Pharmacy

But you can practically do anything within reason

There are many ways to get into medicine other than the conventional route from A-Levels, although in most cases these routes tend to be even more competitive. Here is a link on TSR to show you other options of how you can get into medicine.

Also in regards to the requirements and what universities it will be most appropriate for you to apply to, you're going to have to go about it the hard way and check all universities website requirements although here is a TSR link showing the GCSE & A-level requirements. Based on the information you have given I think you're going to struggle to find a university that will allow a C in English Language and lenient on GCSE grades and also the UKCAT as there isn't much left to discriminate between applicants.

For the UKCAT here is another link showing how universities use the UKCAT and how heavily they use it, I would double check with the website though as information in constantly changing as admissions change their policy and requirements.
