Though I'm not an expert, I think I can safely say just one day will do very little difference in the long run. You need weeks I think (I could be wrong) of a constant, well balanced detox to clean your body right out for the benefit of the long run.
god i hate the word detox....

a detox can be anything you want it to be, healthy living/eating souldn't be put into certain days of the year, they should be something thought about all the time.... if i binged for 5 days of the week and healthy 2 days there would still be problems there

Well.. I've done it over 3 days.
But not to the extreme like some people do it..
I just ate loads of fruit, veg, no meat and lots of water [nothing but water. no milk, tea, squash or anything] except for hot water with lemon juice in it [it flushes you out. seriously.. was on the toilet for ages..]

i wouldn't suggest doing it for longer than a week.
Whilst it is good for you to some extent, it flushes out EVERYTHING. Including vitamins and ****.
And isn't generally good in the long run.

Alrite thanks for the replies.

Its just that im about to start a healthier lifestyle (hopefully) - as in doing more excersise, eating less fatty/greasy stuff and more healthy foods and thought a detox could be a good way to begin it, by flushing out any toxins or whatever from inside me :p:. But I doubt very much I could last 2 days on a detox, nevermind a 4 week detox, I get hungry too easily:rolleyes:.

some weight loss programs recommend a very low calorie diet, for 1-2 weeks as a kickstart. do this by counting kcal or eating only supplements, (latter one is kinda like the cambridge diet with all its soups and milkshakes.)
