primary education or secondary. ?

Hey I'm doing applied medical science L3. I'm considering doing an education degree however, I'm confused on whether to become a primary or secondary teacher
Get yourself some experiences with both age groups should help you be more decisive

A lot of teachers gave a lot of their time to share their experiences and give advice in your last thread at http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=3331147 . It feels as though you haven't really taken much of it on board since you're asking the same question again...

Your RIGHT But The Thread mainly exposes the work load. It doesn't reveal stuff like.. primary teaching is better as kids are less rude or secondary teaching is better as you only teach one subject

The vast majority of teachers either work in primary or secondary; not both. It's for this reason that you are unlikely to get a lot of responses that can accurately tell you which is "better". The thread also discussed behaviour and the teaching of 1 vs multiple subjects, where both had their caveats.

It comes down to which age group you are most comfortable with. "Rude" students will be the least of your concerns, since in both aspects you will be expected to learn effective behaviour management techniques. It will also depend on the school you end up working in.

Secondary teacher! Primary is for people who couldn't careless about teaching.

Hi UZ25,

Have you considered attending one of the many 'Get into teaching' events that are run across the country? https://getintoteaching.education.gov.uk/teaching-events

Or aternatively, universities who offer PGCE's and teaching degrees often hold open events which would give you a chance to put your questions to people who have been through teacher training and the tutors who observe and assess teacher training students.
