Contract law: option contract

Hi people !
I'm currently writing an essay about contract in common law.

I'm having an hard time finding info and lead cases (and more generic cases) about options and standing offers. I've checked a few book such as Treitel and Mckendrick, but I can't find the amount of information that I need.

Suggenstions about other books or every kind of sources will be really appreciated.

Anson's Law of Contract is also a good textbook, and is normally quite informative. The leading practitioner handbook on contract is Chitty on Contract - if you have the money to spend get Chitty and there will be plenty of information there.
