Hi, I applied online about 10 days ago, haven't got any reply from them yet (application status says submitted for consideration). All u need is to apply online, choose work experience in career preferences and choose either London or Leeds if u want to apply to tax division.

Cheers, i've found the link. I want to apply to London tax division but in the First preferred location box, I can only select from Birmingham, Manchester and Reading?

Hmm...dunno, I suppose they have already filled out all places for tax division and do not recruit any more. When I was applying there was a choice out of 5

EY use a rolling recruitment process, filling their places as they go, without a specific application deadline. If you can't choose a particular location, chances are that they've filled all the available places there already, I'm afraid. However, if you want to check (there's no harm in trying), then their e-mail address is [email protected]

Btw, does anyone know how long it usually takes to get informed of the outcome of the online application ( for this programme) as I can't wait anymore

It depends when you apply - you ought to hear about the status of your app fairly soon after you apply, though if there's a glut of applications at once, you may have your application put 'on hold' for a while.

It is, yes:

We offer a number of students the opportunity to gain two weeks of real work experience during the Easter holidays. The programme provides students with a taster of life within a professional services firm in either our Tax or Technology and Security Risk Services practices. The first two days of the programme will equip you with the skills required through an intensive induction and a variety of training sessions. You will then work within either the Tax or Technology and Security Risk Services practices and have exposure to client work and gain a flavour of life at Ernst & Young.
