Driving to the hills around Austin, about two hours, and having a night picknick under all those stars. Being a nerd, I'd probably scare her off when I start picking out individual stars and constellations.

just getting to the place to realise that you're not regretting making the date, that you and the guy/girl have stuff in common! no-one is thinking about getting their end away THAT night. and you realise you DO want to see each other again!!
not much to ask right?

hmm something to do with walking around on a beach at night but that's not very likely around london lol.
Knowing that where ever you go or whatever you will do it wont matter as you know that it'll be a great day. Who do you know that... by getting along so good and finding the other person attractive.

I was thinking about stuff to do on a first date the other day for my friend, and I think those pottery painting places are sooo cool!

my best first date was a weird one!
i feel like explaining it so read this if you're bored!
basically he picked me up and we went to box hill and we drove around the hills (cos I couldnt walk!)and then he got us some bacon sandwiches and we ate them in the car cos I couldnt walk (dodgy foot!)
then..we went to his house picked up his brother and went to see his dad...his family were really nice
Then on our way back my foot was really hurting so he took me to the hospital and waited with me 4 2hrs in A&E!!...turns out I had to have crutches!
We then went and met up with some friends for a bit then went to my house and he made us dinner cos I couldnt stand very well!
Then we had a random idea to go the cinema..so we quickly went to catch the last film...and on my way out I slipped over on my crutches cos the floor was wet and he spent ages complaining!..it was also really funny so we wont forget that!
Then it poured with rain so he had 2 carry me to the car splashing in all the puddles which was quite amusing...
Then he came back to mine and I fell asleep on him on the sofa lol...wasnt much of a date but I wouldnt have had it any other way! :p:

First date I had:

Walked up the biggest hill in Leicestershire, walked back down. Drove round for a bit, Mcdonalds for food and sat in the car talking for 4 hours.

How romantic. Yes indeed it does sound boring but it was actually pretty damn good.

Another first date:

Travelling to London by Megabus, waiting for absolutely ages, having to chase him round Victoria Tube Station shopping bit, gave up, went and sat down, he came over, we kissed.

I love first dates where you just really hit it off and there are no awkard silences! Don't really mind what we do, but good convo and lots of laughs makes a day for me
I like it when dates aren't conventional, by that I mean the usual drink/cinema/restaurant kind of experience. Not that there's anything wrong with those, but I remember the dates that were a bit different more fondly.

For example, I went on a date with one guy to Stratford-upon-Avon and we decided to try rowing a little boat down the river. Needless to say I was useless at it and propelled us into an overhanging tree, but being the gracious guy he was, he offered to row the rest of the way lol.

Another time that sticks with me is when I went out with a guy in his car and we just took a random road and drove for two hours before ending up in a seaside town at 1am. We stopped for pizza and then drove back, but it was great to talk to him and I liked the spontinaity.
