I'd like to see more girls try rather than just leaving the lads to do it, yeah, that'd be cool.

It shouldnt be left up to us guys, im all for equality in this situation but it rarely happends.

Reply 3

no I don't think it looks desperate at all, thats like a double standard why should women look desperate in that situation but not men? equal oppertunities and all that. But there does seem to be a tendancy for men to do it more but maybe thats natural. At any rate I agree that women should do it more often, rejection hurts just as much for us help us out a bit here ladies.

I consider myself fairly attractive and have tried chatting guys up and never really had much of a positive response so I've stopped doing it now. I think the truth is it scares the hell out of guys.

I've had quite a few girls chat me up, possibly on a ratio higher then that to which I chat women up. Most of the time though, I end up chatting to a girl and then realise what I'm doing... Don't have to worry about being rejected that way!

There's nothing wrong with it. A lot of girls will chat lads up if they want to.

Reply 7

ive chatted up guys before but then im not patient enough to wait for the object of my desire to come to me.

Reply 8

i do most of the chatting up i reckon. but i'm worried too, cos all my uni friends are like they'd never do it. i dunno if it's a bit forward, or if they're a bit cowardly!

Reply 9

Rather than chattin them up...they should just start a convo...then go from there so it doesnt seem so desperate

Reply 10

I'd like for girls to doing more of the pulling and chatting up be cool.

Reply 11

I always chat guys up because the ones I usually go for are quite shy when it comes to that kinda stuff and I can't be bothered to wait  I don't think that makes me desperate....just impatient lol.

If you want to be equal and all that, girls should be more straightforward.

Reply 17

In my opinion is does seem desperate but then again depends what you mean by chat up. No, I've reconsidered it. I don't think it seems desperate, but if a girl were to ask a boy out, that is deperate. That is what I meant.

I belive that if you like someone, theres no real reason why you shouldn't 'chat someone up'. Only society dictates really whats considered the norm.

Most guys find it a bit of a turn on to be chatted up I think. Desperate, not at all, if you like someone, regardless of what sex does it, go for it!

Aye, that's why I wouldn't mind a girl doing it, makes a nice change, and change is good.
