I have just received my entitlement for this coming years university year, I have been awarded £250 a month which doesn't even cover my rent let alone anything else.

My Dad was awarded a redundancy payout of not much but clearly this has affected it, I understand that this is what they base it off but how am I meant to live off of that? Is there any way to appeal the decision.

Hi there.

Redundancy payments will need to be included within the assessment. An appeal is not likely to be successful as this is the correct and normal process for all students. If your fathers income has changed he can fill in a current year income form which is found here: http://bit.ly/15EUr0G and ask for the application to be based on his current years earnings instead.
