Sorry, I meant will the next trips be to different cities, so this year Rotterdam, next year ____ and the year after somewhere different again?

Reply 201

well I don't know as yet - the trip for the second years this year was the rotterdam one. We still haven't got any info for us

Reply 202

Perhaps you could drop hints like... "Isn't the architecture in ___ amazing..." do you know where last years trip was? I'm guessing they don't go to the same place 2 years in a row?

Reply 203

lol -- I'm guessing we get prepped when we go in later this week to get out project results ().

well I actually don't know about that - but yes.. needs to find out!

Reply 204

I say mention Berlin a lot... or Tokyo if you feel rich

Reply 205

lol.. me? rich?! :toofunny:

but on the other hand.. the university is supposed to be partially paying for it :ninja:

Reply 206

:p: then draw a circle on the map showing the distance you can affoard and pick the best city!

Reply 207

 heheh.... well looks like I won't be seeing the tutors until next week.. my name wasn't on that list (for portfolio discussions).. kinda scawy! :afraid:
How's the exams going then?

Reply 208

Take it as a good sign, the people with the most work get told so before everyone else!

Exams are exams! Biology is all done now, I hope I've got enough marks and if I didnt its my own fault! Chemistry is being horrible, but hopefully I can rely on maths!

Reply 209

What subjects are you taking Dust-? you sound just like me last year :s-smilie:: - chemistry was a butt - but maths was really good. Biology was a butt but I worked really hard and got it up. But work super hard in maths then to make up for anything!! plenty of luck

and yes.. everyone keeps telling me that, hopefully it is a good sign, but it also means that I only get my grades next week! I hate waiting for so long!

Reply 210

At least you aren't waiting until August! :p:
Art, Chem, Bio and Maths! (I did AS Psychology but gave it up because I had no time!)
I worked so hard for art so I'm hoping I'll get my A (got full marks in 2 modules last year so I'm going to be optimistic!)
Biology I only needed 98 marks out of the 2 papers but they were quite tough! and Chemistry is going really badly but maybe with last year i'll still get a B, the rest is just down to maths! Friday is the last chemistry so from then I'm gona work non-stop at maths and hopefully they won't be too bad, binomial stuff scares me though!

Reply 211

!!! those are the SAME A levels that I did!! -- cept I chose to stick with chem AS because I really didn't like it :p:

Well - all I can say for maths is... practice!!! do the past papers and do the solomon papers (they helped me coz they were harder and hence made the edexcel ones look so easy  - but don't forget to go back to the edexcel past papers!)
ooo full marks huh? well done! - I got full marks for my Art A level cept for unit 6.. grr... :p:

Lots of of Luck!! Hope to see you here next year!!!

Reply 212

Solomon papers? My exam board is CCEA so I dont have Edexcel papers either hehe! Well done in art! you got full marks in the dissertation?

Reply 213

ooops... okay then...*just showers Dust in good luck instead :p:*

okay everyone keeps talking about a dissertation now! what is that? is that when we had to research an artist and talk about them? and use visuals etc?... if its that-- that was unit 4 for Art Edexcel, and yes I did get full marks :blushing:..

Reply 214

Yea the big essay bit  well done! I'll be surprised if i get near it, I got so off topic and wrote so many stupid things... I think I discussed everything from a caveman called Og to chemicals in paint hahaha

Reply 215

 well as long as you wrote the essay!-- what was yours on then?

and thanks!

Reply 216

Bronze Sculpture  What was yours about?

Reply 217

That's an interesting one!... mine was on the portrayal of women in Art History

Reply 218

Oh thats quite different, at least I don't know anyone else who did it! Mine was going to be kinetic sculpture, but there isn't any in this country so I couldn't get any research!

Reply 219

lol.. I had to rely on the web and books - took absolute ages!!! thank goodness for Paula Rego
