Totally with you on that one. Normally me and my friends do something nice on the day, but literally within the past month they've all paired up!
Valentines day isnt that great anyway, just another day.

it's just another day with a fancy name attached to it.

spend it with those who don't have a valentine? do something fun.

It sucks tho!
I don't so much mind not being with anyone, the guys I like have gfs and its complicated, I just feel left out when they all talk about their guys...and at the end of parties when people drift off home, its really loner like :frown:

Good point xmas is bad too.
Actually its all pretty bad, but especially the times when other people are being couple like.
Worst for me is literally ALL my close friends have someone :frown:

i think I would get more joy out of treating a girl rather than saving money!

stress about something important people, being @rsed about Valentines day is another example of middle class people living lives of comfort inventing something to get worked up about because they dont have any real issues to worry about

how do people who are fighting poverty and oppressive governments go on when Valentines Day comes around, I bet they couldnt give a monkey****

It does suck being single, but I plan spending Valentines day with my 2 bessie friends at uni. 1 of them is attached, so I'll probably spend the evening with my other flatmate watching a film...

Don't dwell on the fact that you don't have a boyfriend, just think of the freedom and the fun you can have!!

Magic guy...
We don't compare ourselves to these people though do we, it's human nature to judge yourselves against your peers. I fully bet that you, as we all do, stress about things that, were your economic situation different, you wouldn't 'give a monkey' about. However, it isn't and so you will.
Also middle-class, how wonderfull, your probably middle-class yourself...but your right the prolatarians arn't cultured enough to care for a saints day...not

(Sorry)

Just find something else to do - It's not the end of the world. The more sorry for yourself you feel the worse itll be when you come to the actual day.

You feel this way at the moment, but if you're with someone next valentines keep in mind all the lonely buggers and don't be as outward about it.

Big box of sexual chocolates, nice bottle of wine, film on the telly, beautiful.

Stop complaining and find yourself a guy

Reply 16

:P Excellent advice there *salutes*

Reply 17

And be all desperate? That'll land her a guy. Don't expect much in the way of quality.

Reply 18

LOL :colondollar: A guy isn't the problem...its THE guy...you know, like when you are sooo mmm for a certain someone nobody else matches up...we've all been there lol

Reply 19

Seriously stop complaining and get out there. Or be alone and be happy. Either way be happy. Life being sad is ****.

I'm leaving H+R forever now especially in the run up to and the aftermath of valentines...
