Um... hey guys!
My mum's kinda forcing me to ask this (she was advised to on mumsnet....) Anyways....
So I'm looking to apply to a range of private girl's school 6th forms (in London) and I was wondering what they're entrance examinations are like.... and also could people tell me about the schools in general (i.e. the people who go there...)
So currently my list is:
- Habs girls (though I'm not 100% sure - I kinda got the impression that it's pretty 'hot housed' there)
- CLSG (Though my mum thinks it might be too far away)
- Channing
- NLCS
- St Paul's (I would never get in though... It's more for experience...)
Does anyone have other recommendations? (Or even good state schools in the North London/South-West Hertfordshire area)
Thanks in advance!

There's one in Central London.

Duff Miller College.

They specialise in 6th form (year 12/13) but also offer GCSE courses as well.

Why are you thinking about a private girls school? It's not everyone's cup of tea socially ...

I want to move for 6th form but my mum will only let me move to a school that does better than my current state school... My current state school is one of the top state schools in the country....

With the "Girl" part - Since I went to a childminder 14 years ago, I've always been somewhere co-ed.... I just want a different atmosphere...

On similar lines to what I just said to Muttley, my mum wants me to go to somewhere better than where I'm at right now - my current state school does better than Duff Miller -
Also, I was thinking more along the lines of a school 6th form rather than a college....
But thanks though...

I would NEVER teach in an all girl school again - are you sure you want the sort of behaviour 'young ladies' can exhibit?

Are you near enough to Bucks to look at a Grammar School?

I don't know so much what the behavior would be like....
I'm about an hour and a half away from most of Bucks - but I think my mum will say it's too far...
