True but then again, he would be deported if he was found out. And with all this publicity he would have been found out anyway

Well then the employer was wrong to employ him if he was an illegal immigrant. This is disgraceful, and you can't help feeling that this is probably only the tip of the iceberg. 29p an hour is just appalling, but think what other people get, not only in this country but in the third world.
That is so disgusting, the level of discimination and unfairness there is so apalling!! And the compensation amount was pitiful too!!! I would have wanted more (though after being pain 26/ 96p an hour, im sure that seemed like a small fortune)!!

i mean, his status may have changed which allowed him to come forward. you would establish quite quickly that 29p an hr is not realistic in Britain, and the article gives little other explanation.
