leg hair worries

Im a 20 year old guy and would describe myself as fairly hairy. I have hairy arms, chest, stomach etc.

The weird thing is, Ive noticed that although my legs used to be hairy too, a large quantity of it has dissapeared over recent years :s-smilie: For example my thighs used to be pretty much hairy all over (were not talking gorilla here, it was just an even spread of hair) but now theyre almost smooth. If I rub my hand over it, it feels prickly as if Ive shaved them! But you cant see the hair.

Similar with my calf area on both legs, they have NO hair at all yet the front of each leg (shin area) has hair as normal.

Is it something to be worried about? When I was 15/16 I had an even amount of hair all over my legs and it isnt happenning anywhere else so im confused!

I get slightly balding patches on the inside of my thighs - it's just where your skin rubs lots - if you think your thighs constantly rub against each other when you walk, and your calves continually contract and relax against your trousers. I get the same thing on top of my ankles - used to be a bit hairy there but the hair just rubs off against shoes. And yeah, it sometimes gets a bit prickly as the constant rubbing of your thighs against one another is a little bit like shaving! It's absolutely nothing to worry about though. You won't wake up one morning bald as a coot, promise!

its just because of rubbing....people have less hair where their socks rub and where their legs rub together a lot

have you ben doing any new sports recently where there's friction going on, even simple things like the clothes you wear can have an impact.... what about the tops of your arms, hair generally forms there early, and just wondered if there was any impact there?
