letting someone down gently

hey guys,

okay, well i met this guy a few months ago at work, and he is really interested in me. We exchanged numbers and i then found out that there was a huge age gap - 10yrs, and so i basically tried to let him down gently by saying to him that i dont think that us being together is going to work (although i did like him too). He then said to me recently that we never talked as often as we used to, so i said that maybe thats a good thing so he can get over me. He responded by saying that if i wanted to stop talking to him then i should ask this girl (this other girl who works in the same office as me) for her number...i was shocked he even said that as he always used to say that he wanted to be with me and that he really cared for me etc. So i gave him a piece of my mind and said basically he can get stuffed..he then replied to say that he was just joking as it was just a way to find out how i felt about him....!....i said back to him that i cant trust him and that im not into all these mind games and asked him if he really thinks things are actually gonna work out between us?...because i dont think they will...n ive told him that numerous times...
SO really what i need advice on is how i should let him know in an amacable way that this 'thing' (i dont think theres a word for it as we arent even going out) that we have between us has to stop and he needs to move on and find a girl that is suitable for his age....and yes i have told him all this before but doesnt seem to be getting through!! Help me please

Thanks

What we are looking at here, ladies and gents, is a nice big fat sexual harassment compensation case waiting to happen.

Milk it. Get him to incriminate himself more.
