Hi everyone, I am a Chinese student studying in the UK, currently doing my 1st year maths undergrad degree in Oxford univ.

It's nearly the end of the term and I have just started to consider finding a summer job.(I know it's late!) When I was checking out a book about summer jobs in my college library today, I found hardly any of the jobs on it suits me, it's simply because most of them are teaching english and stuff (I didn't wish to be stuck in the UK for again another 3 months. so i only looked at the "working aborad" part.) Anyway my english is ok to talk to friends and tutors but not yet good enough to teach others.

Is any one have been in my situation or does any one know what on earth is a suitable summer job for people like me? anything will be great.

    thanx!

be a lifeguard (if you can swim)! it's easy, fun, and a rudimentry course is required but in the end you get quite a bit of money per hour.

You should try a retail job. It'll keep you going throughout the summer, the wage isn't bad and they're easy to find.
