The only university that offered me a spot In Scotland was Aberdeen, but I have exceeded my excepted scores in the IB to qualify for entry. I would like to go to another Uni such as St. Andrews, Glasgow, or Edinburgh, but since I'm In Sweden I need to make travel plans and living arraignments fairly quickly, and am afraid to wait until 13th of August - when adjustments start

Does anyone know if there is any point in calling the Unis I am interested in early, and asking for information or whether so far there are any spots available in my desired course? Do you think they would keep me in mind, or consider my situation? Have any IB students had experience with this the UCAS adjustments?

Would the universities I've mentioned even consider students who want to change Unis through adjustments?

Thank you for any info/advice!

You never know whether a university is going to be in clearing/adjustment because it varies so much between courses. I've never heard of really in-demand courses like medicine being in clearing but lesser known courses at prestigeous unis can be available. So there's really no telling in advance. If I were you I'd call up and just ask if they are expecting to be in clearing/adjustment for your course. Likely they'll tell you to wait until August but you never know, you might get some clarity.

Good luck!

Hey!

This is the list of universities which participated in clearing for last year - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/education...ve-places.html.

St Andrews doesn't participate in clearing or adjustment.

In 2013, The Telegraph said that Leeds, Edinburgh and Glasgow had the most courses in clearing so you might have a better chance if you give them a call! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/education...re-places.html
