For my course they reccomended this, which doesnt really answer your question

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Surveying-Engineers-J-Uren/dp/1403920540/sr=1-1/qid=1170001398/ref=sr_1_1/202-4987288-6532643?ie=UTF8&s=books

I found it a reasonable bed time read, for when I couldnt be bothered to pee around with lecture notes

The second one (Schofield) seems to feature in some of my lecturers notes as a reference, but as I have not touched it, I cannot pass comment. Can you not have quick flick through of them at the library? Its what I tend to do

Well... yeah, i can have a look at those books in the library BUT after I return uni at the end of my vacation (i.e. end of next month). I just want to read the stuffs in advance so that I find them easy when i go back to uni.

I've already downloaded some lecture notes from a good website and the module seems to be very interesting. There will be a seperate textbook published by the uni where i study in. So those books that i have listed are categorized as reference books and i'm just wondering which one to buy.

Thanks for dropping by.
