Does Balliol have a gym?

Yes- it's below the junior common room- but there are bigger gyms for Oxford students too- I think there's also a gym in Hollywell Manor (the place for Balliol postgraduate students) which undergrads may use too.
Also lots of college sports teams you can join like rowing , squash, football - which I regrettably did none of- you'll find out all of this during freshers week.
How important/useful is Cerberus relative to the university PPE society? Is there anything else special about PPE at balliol (other than the popularity of the course)?

Hi, so I asked my friend (2nd year PPE) about this, and here was his response:

"Most PPE students in Balliol will get involved with Cerberus. It's smaller than the uni wide one, but still gets some pretty good speakers, and we have a dinner every year. I don't think many colleges have equivalents, but people that want to meet people from other colleges or get more involved in PPE stuff should probably look into the uni one.

Balliol has the biggest number of students and tutors in the university for PPE, I think".
