Boo. Term's over, and college is nearly empty. Have you already gone home, Inspiron? I saw your, erm... "fraise blonde" friend in the bar earlier. He threatened me. Git.
Heyyy, balliol, hopefully see you all in october. Depending on one's grades... but it sounds good, I shall be sure to avoid gentlemen of a certain hair colour.. he sounds shifty
Does any one here do History? is Balliol ridiculously oversubscribed? I want to apply for history and politics, how many students do they have studying it?
History and politics, I think it depends year on year. There's only one in the first year, but I think that there are more in the second and third years. I might be wrong, but I think that there are a fixed number of places for history and its joint schools.
Hey, um... I'm not sure whether to apply to Hertford or Balliol this October... So, I was wondering if someone could try and list why you think this college is amazing! (and also, do you have to clear out of your rooms at the end of term?)
Hey there, I'm coming to the college for the open day on the 28th, and I just wanted to find out a bit more about the college from the horse's mouth so to speak...I'm thinking of taking History btw. Any info would be appreciated
I'm planning on applying to Balliol for PPE. Because I'm applying to such a popular college, especially for my course, does that worsen my chance to get into the University as a whole?

Hmm, I'm thinking of applying for E&M which has similar odds... But I think it's pretty much the same in every college...and it changes from year to year...so you never know really!
In answer to all you worriers, if you're good enough to get in, you will get in. Just be confident, show potential, and do your best. Basically, if Balliol is the college you want to apply for, don't let worries of volume of applicants put you off.
Would Balliol mind an International applicant choosing to interview at Oxford?
IIRC US applicants are generally interviewed somewhere in New York. But I'm sure they won't mind if you want to come to Oxford for your interview. Just e-mail them after you apply and let them know that you'd like to do so.
Dear all the lovely people at Balliol If any of you happen to be being slightly bored, and feeling helpful the section for Balliol in my lovely Pros and Cons Wiki page is very sad and lonely because nobody has written anything! If you would like to help (just a few things like is the accomodation good or bad, the food, the college site, the sports pitches etc then the link is in my signature and I would be most obliged!
