Yeah but I bet those girls are thinking '90% blokes, wahey!'...I know I did when applying for chemistry where most of the courses were 70% blokes.

Then I discovered they were all geeks, most of which have hair longer than mine... oh well!!!
Don't ruin my carefully preened misconception about male scientists all being cute!!!

Ross is a palaentologist - not an archaeologist...he would have studied geology at uni specialising at doctorate stage on palaeo.

I *hate* palaeontologists - the wuss's of the geology world....it's not proper science grr
Im still thinking that it going along the same kinda lines, i.e. old things being dug up etc...

Im sensing an underlying dislike / disgust / down-right-harted of palaeontologists. Personally I have never met one but I imagine they have worse dress sense that most comp sci's and a hair cut worse than most of those strange arty students you find in coffee shops (oohhh were getting back to Friends)!!!

hehe, my bf is going to do computer science, at least i won't have a course full of girls to get jealous of (whereas i will have a maths course full of guys mwuhahaha). he got annoyed when i bought him socks saying 'computer geek'... it was one of those *saw these and thought of you moments*

say you do something like french or italian, but you might get unstuck if you have to demonstate (or just do it joey style and make it up)

SHHHH! Don't shoot yourself in the foot you prospective engineer!

P.s. I reckon there are enough engineers/mathmos/physicists to lobby for our own course subforum.

As far as I can tell male engineers seem to split into two groups - rugger buggers and heavy metal fans (obsessive heavy metal fans - you know the ones).
I hate rugby *and* heavy metal

That's quite a good idea - I'll let you be the loud boisterous one who has to get her way, I'll just stand back and give moral support

    Both of them...
OMG, it just occured to me that there are apparently 8 people in the tutorial section thingy of my course. With a %'age of girls less than 10%, does that mean that I might not even get a whole girl to share with 6 other guys???

mathematicians scare me - I think it's because I get the impression they know that I have no idea what I'm talking about.
Nonsense, you are the queen of knowledge!

I think I only like them because I like maths and they can do my mechanics modules for me.

    It's very possible
If mine is say 90% male, there's about 55 in the year, giving 5-6 females to 49-50 males
