Hi guys,

I might be moving to Caernarfon, but something I'm wondering is how do you manage with parking if you're inside the city walls?

As far as I can see there are no residential areas, only pay and display car parks.

Do any of you live there or know anyone living there? How do you/they park?

I am fairly local to Caernarfon, and as far as I know, to park within the town, there are only pay and display car parks. There is the multi storey car park, and various other car parks, the castle one and the one near the dock. You're not able to park on the actual 'Maes' square during daytime hours, except for taxis I think, although I could be wrong. I think you can park behind the post office (it is a one way street though, and parking can be limited). As for residential parking I'm not sure, hope this helps, and hasn't confused you even more!!! Try the gwynedd council website for more info re parking www.gwynedd.gov.uk

I think that you can buy a pass for the year to park in the pay and display areas
