Having trouble swallowing Tablets

Having massive trouble swallowing tablets. Been prescribed them for an Ear -Infection.

Whenever i try to swallow one - i gag & bring it back up. They are capsules & can't be crushed up.

Even tried it with a spoonful of yogurt - gaged & it came back up.

Any tips for swallowing these tablets ?

Take them with a mouthful of water
i used to have this problem. you just have to find the right technique. if you have a mental block like i did, it's often harder to swallow them. but you get there in the end. good luck

I used to gag whenever I had tablets. I'm sure I have an overactive gag reflex :s-smilie: But its got better because I was on the pill for a while so you pretty much had to get used to taking them, even though they were tiny.

How big are they? Try drinking half a cup of water first 'soften' your throat (not a medical term needless to say, but I find it helps!) then take the tablets with the rest of the water. Then eat a biscuit or something afterwards to stop yourself gagging after.
