Hi,

I'm due to start the following AS GCEs:

1. OCR Geography H081
2. AQA Biology AS 7401
3. AQA Chemistry AS 7404

Could someone please give me textbook recommendations for these AS GCEs which are relevant for the 2016 specification? THANK YOU

AQA endorsed Biology books: http://www.aqa.org.uk/resources/scie...each/textbooks
AQA Chemistry books: http://www.aqa.org.uk/subjects/scien...stry-textbooks

I preferred the Nelson Thornes books compared to the Hodder books.

Looked on the OCR website and it seems you will still be doing the current spec for geography as it says it the new geography spec will start being taught in 2016.
Have a look at page 2: http://www.ocr.org.uk/Images/231243-...y-brochure.pdf

Your school may provide a text book. If they don't they will probably tell you which one they want you to use so I'd advise against spending any money until you know.
This is the new biology book that replaces the very commonly used ones for the old specification
As a single book (bit heavy to carry in every day)

or its available in a two book format

Thanks! I've already bought two CGP revision guides which aren't actually AQA approved alongside the AQA approved Oxford University Press textbook one of you earlier mentioned which we'll be getting free from the school yay! Thanks!

If you're serious about bio and considering a career in Medicine/Pharmacy then I know my friends found this huge Oxford Advanced Biology book handy! They have just completed A2 Biology (AQA spec).

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Advanced-Biology-Science-Michael-Kent/dp/0199141959/ref=sr_1_22?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1436889942&sr=1-22&keywords=biology

Bit expensive- you can get them used for around £10- but good value for money!
