Personally how was/is the nightlife for you? Nightlife is great for me. I go out most nights, there's something differant on each night. Not the place if your into huge clubs and a big city, there's only 3 clubs; but there's loads of pubs and I've always had a lively time. It's personal preference I think.
Are you/Were you/Have You been ever bored studying at bangor? Nah, the odd weekend when I have washing up to do and cleaning my room but not seriously bored. Buses are frequent to places like llandudno for a day or a trip to the cinema for a change of sceanery like.
How much were/are you paying for accomodation? (average) About £57 per week
Was/Is that accomodation en-suite? Nope
If not was sharing a bathroom with fellow students decent? was it clean? was it available when you needed it for that morning shower? There's two toilets, 1 shower and 1 bath between eight. So perfectly fine and always avaliable. Bathrooms cleaned about 2/3 times a week which is fine no probs.
Does bangor uni take in idiots/trouble makers, any experience of trouble erupting in bangor e.g. (halls of residence)? Not sure I really understand this question, any instuition will take in 'idiots' also defines how you define idiot. Yeah in halls you get the odd group who get excited in freshers week / end of exams and like to party but it's not everyone and any probs speak to a warden and they'll sort out and disturbance/rule breaking / noise.
How does bangor deal with TV License officers (if known) in terms of residence (allowed entry if your out?)? Don't know, to be honest i've never seen TV license officers on site.
Does bangor uni have good laundry facs? Washers and dryers work fine on my site. Washers take £1 coins and 20p. Never had to wait for one, always been some free. Only annoyance is the dryers on my site need the minimum of a £1 but will only take 20ps - soon learn to have a laundry pot in your room to save 20ps
Any problems you encountered at bangor that gave it a negative worst mentioning (rules/unforeseen costs/rude staff)?Nope
How much would you spend in a average week (social costs)? Again personal really. Spend prolly less than a tenner on food - Aldi and llidl are cheap enough - Aldi is better and stocks more. Even Morrisons works out ok for cost. Taxi bout £2 in the day £3/4 at night, but hardly ever use them as everything is in walkin distance but handy when shopping. Socialising costs depedns how often you like to go out and how much you drink, entry to clubs is normally £3 or below, drinks cheap enough in the SU, pints less than £2 and some bars do doubles for £1.80 or less.
How would you rate bangor uni out of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest)? 10 no problems, helpful, and good course structure
How would you rate shops in bangor out of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest)? 6, Tesco and McDonalds quite far out, high street shops are same as most high streets but it is not like a shopping central place with malls/centres
How would you rate the nightlife in bangor out of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest)? 8, plenty to entertain yourself, just don't expect grand/huge clubs
How would you rate your experience in bangor out of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest)? 10

Important
How would you rate YOUR ACCOMODATION out of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest)? 9 - had a few problems with my window, but i've moved rooms and its fine.
Any complaints (are the walls thin/loud music at night/internet is slow)? Internet connection was a bit dodgy at first 'cause I dont live on the main friff site so our connection came from a differant place but resnet have updated it now and its as fast as everywhere else in the uni  Walls are fine and if people make too much noise just complain and it will get sorted

Personally how was/is the nightlife for you? Great, ok there isn't as many clubs as in bigger cities, but Bangor isn't that big so not expecting loads. Lots of different stuff on to entertain me and plenty of pubs for something quieter.
Are you/Were you/Have You been ever bored studying at bangor? Yes but that's to do with personal issues, nothing to do with Bangor being boring as a place.
How much were/are you paying for accomodation? (average) Erm last year in halls I can't remember, this year £215 a month excluding bills
Was/Is that accomodation en-suite? It was last year, no this year.
If not was sharing a bathroom with fellow students decent? was it clean? was it available when you needed it for that morning shower?
Does bangor uni take in idiots/trouble makers, any experience of trouble erupting in bangor e.g. (halls of residence)? Not really, you get a few immature people in halls but that's just them, they're losers and soon grow tired of it and you will get that anywhere
How does bangor deal with TV License officers (if known) in terms of residence (allowed entry if your out?)? Never seen them in halls, not heard from them since living in a house either
Does bangor uni have good laundry facs? Fine
Any problems you encountered at bangor that gave it a negative worst mentioning (rules/unforeseen costs/rude staff)? No
How much would you spend in a average week (social costs)? Past week, far too much, but generally you can get by with spending very little

Any complaints (are the walls thin/loud music at night/internet is slow)? At halls the internet is very good, it goes off for a short while when they do maintenance but they let u know that in advance. Loud music depends on who you have in your halls, you'll get that everywhere and just have to ask whoever to turn it down

Good

Yes... bored out of my brain. I don't get any work, the lectures haven't taught me an awful lot so far, and the exams were a joke, any idiot could pass most of them.

Was/Is that accomodation en-suite?

If not was sharing a bathroom with fellow students decent? was it clean? was it available when you needed it for that morning shower?

Pretty good actually, I'm not into big clubs and I've had some not very good nights, but then I've also had some really really great nights out here. There's stuff on every night and Academi, in the SU has lots of different things on. Pubs like yellow pub have a card thing where you can get money off drinks if you have a yellow card and some places eg The Menai have cheap nights

Are you/Were you/Have You been ever bored studying at bangor?
I'm not going to lie, yes, I've been very bored sometimes, but that's because of people probs and an unchallenging/uninteresting (in some aspects) course but a lot of good things have happened because of being here. You're never going to be having the time of your life 24/7 anywhere, but I've got some really good memories so far.
How much were/are you paying for accomodation? (average)
I'm in the more expensive ones on Ffridd so about £72 a week
Was/Is that accomodation en-suite?
yeah
If not was sharing a bathroom with fellow students decent? was it clean? was it available when you needed it for that morning shower?
Does bangor uni take in idiots/trouble makers, any experience of trouble erupting in bangor e.g. (halls of residence)?
You get some pratts, but you'll get that anywhere. The wardens and Ffridd security are really good at sorting probs tho
How does bangor deal with TV License officers (if known) in terms of residence (allowed entry if your out?)?
Our warden came to tell us they were around but she said they weren't actually allowed entry to the buildings unless someone let them in, so basically, DON'T lol
Does bangor uni have good laundry facs?
Yeah the Ffridd site ones are pretty good. They seemed expensive at first but you can get a lot in them, they're bigger than normal machines. £1.80 for a normal wash £2 for super cycle and tumble dryer £1. I think they take down to about 5/10ps too
Any problems you encountered at bangor that gave it a negative worst mentioning (rules/unforeseen costs/rude staff)? I think Geography have to pay field trip fees on top of tuition fees but that's all I know for extra costs. Your accommodation deposit is £250 payable before you get here though
How much would you spend in a average week (social costs)?

I'm really bad with money! I had a budget of £40 a week and have only ever stuck to it once or twice! But I just spend to much. Entry to most places is pretty good, normal night out, if you start drinking at the flat, I can spend up to about £20 depending on what I've drank before.
How would you rate bangor uni out of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest)? 7
How would you rate shops in bangor out of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest)? 7 it's jsut a normal highstreet, nothing special but there's enough here
How would you rate the nightlife in bangor out of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest)? depends what you're into but, personally, 8
How would you rate your experience in bangor out of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest)? between 5 and 7, but that's because of other reasons, sometimes I'd say 10

Important
How would you rate YOUR ACCOMODATION out of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest)? 7 You can hear just about people about but in a block of 60 odd people it's expected, it's not normally too bad
Any complaints (are the walls thin/loud music at night/internet is slow)?
Internet is pretty good actually, walls aren't any thinner/thicker than what I guess you'd expect from a normal house
