Should I choose a Btec course or A levels.

I've recently just finished doing my GCSEs, however I am struggling on what to do next, I'm mostly wanting to go to collage however I cannot decide on what course to pick, I originally wanted to choose level 3 Btec performing arts because I love drama however, will Btec affect me, when wanting to go to university I also don't want to pick an easy option which admittedly Btec can be. I'm much into my drama however not singing and dancing this is also stopping me from choosing the course. It would be very appreciated if I can have any suggestions on what I should do kind regards.

It depends on what you want to do at university.. If you choose to go into the performing arts field, BTEC's will be fine

If the Btec consists of singing and dancing which you dislike can't you choose A-Level drama instead then you won't be doing singing and dancing. That's what I did

If you like Drama and BTEC Performing Arts is what you want to do, then do it. It would be what you need to get into any performing arts course at university so it'll be fine.

BTEC is no easier than A Level performing arts subjects, since both are of mostly-vocational nature and require advanced performance skills. In some ways universities that specialise in performing arts often prefer BTEC as it is more practical and practical skills is what they're looking for.

As for whether the course would require you to also sing and dance depends on the college. Contact the college you're thinking of applying to by phone or email, or look on their website, and see if it's required. If it does as others have said you might want to instead do A-Level Drama.
