the trouble with boys

i'l keep this brief as the whole story would take days, but i met this boy and after both of us faffing about for ages at this stage things have gone really odd and i guess we're not really talking.now the last few times i've been out and seen his mates they tell me how much he likes me etc and that i should just call him. yes he's shy i know that but he used to always text and call me. my firneds are divided on this some are like he's just not that into you then others are like just go for it, ask him out. i'm pretty sure he did really like me but it's been weird for a couple of months now. but why would his friends at separate times over a couple of weeks tell me the same thing if it weren't true? any opinions...? thanks!!!

Go to his mates and tell them to kick him into gear.

his friends don't necessarily know exactly what he's feeling! i'd suggest maybe texting him yourself - just chatty kind of things like "i've had a really bad day what about you," maybe that would help him get less shy if he does really like you or just get you a very good friend if he's not interested in you for anything else
good luck

You know your thread title is quite offensive...

No it isn't.
It's hard to know why he's reacting the way he is if we don't know the story.

Kate is right though, his friends may not exactly know what he's feeling - some may want the best for him and see that as advising you to stay clear while others may think he still wants you and respond respectfully.

I'm willing to put money on the fact he probably doesn't know what he wants as he doesn't know what you want.

Talk to him, it is and always will remain the best solution.
