6. (a)x² - 2mx = (x-m)² - k
-k = x² - 2mx - (x-m)²
-k = x² - 2mx - (x² + m² - 2mx)
-k = x² - 2mx - x² - m² + 2mx
k = m²

(b) (i) x² - 2mx
(x - m)² - m²
min value = -m²

(ii)x - m = 0
x = m
at this min. value.

k = x² - 2mx - (x-m)²
k = x² - 2mx - (x² + m² - 2mx)
k = x² - 2mx - x² - m² + 2mx
k = -(m²)

(b) (i) x² - 2mx
(x - m)² + m²
min value = m²

(ii)x - m = 0

at this min. value.
You don't stop! What a genius!

x² - 2mx = (x-m)² - k
x² - 2mx = (x-m)(x-m) -k
x² - 2mx = x² - 2mx + m -k
k= m

What am i doing wrong ?
14. You multiplied out wrong.
15. oh damn. thanks for telling me. such an amateur mistake. god and i need like 85 % on the calc paper
