Yeah I feel like this from 4-6 :frown: Mainly on weekdays but occasionally on weekends as well :frown:

It's perfectly normal...whenever I used to get home from school I'd pretty much chill out and watch tv completely until dinner and then do a bit of work. You just need a break from school before doing anymore work I guess?

i feel it too..'till like 6 pm..than i started looking at school stuff..but i do study..after dinner 'till almost midnight..and get up at 6 in the morning to finish up my homework..this is not working that well..but that's how it is..:p:

I'm usually more like that on weekends.;yes;
Usually though, a hard working day at 6th form makes an impact also.

I used to be like this on weekdays afterschool, again from 4-6. I could never bring myself to do any work at that time, so I used to have a little nap :p:

Reply 8

It's psychological. School is over, so you're bound to feel tired.

It's just your circadian rhythm, it's entirely normal. Most people get it around 3, but there was recently research done by some Oxford professor to show that the circadian rhythms of teenagers was shifted forward an hour or two (and by nature, not nurture), so it makes perfect sense.

Yes - I get this as well, but around 3pm

I have found something with sugar in and a drink of water gets me over it - so I have started having a banana and water between last lesson of the day at about 2.20 - feel much less sleely now

I think it is incredibly common. Some think it can't be changed, some nutrition Nazis like Gillian McBitch think you can change it by avoiding sugary drinks and snacks, and eating more wholegrain and complex carbohydrates.... or something like that. Also you could try just powering through it by going for a run at that time or something?

Happens to me between 6-7pm. Everyday during the Simpsons or Hollyoaks :P

Reply 13

The way to solve it is to do what the French are encouraged to do by the french govt..... have a lunch time nap!

Reply 14

I get it too. Gilian Mckeith's rubbish, I don't really drink any sugary drinks or snack a lot. I quite often have a nap then, or just waste my time on the internet or something lol

I get an energy slump between about 11am and 7pm :'( not good.

Reply 16

:O YES I DO!

Just recently as well. I feel really tired about 2pm, and all I want to do is sleep not school. As soon as I'm home (4pm) I'm ready to do wahtever and no longer want to sleep. How weird is that!

Reply 17

I just got home from school. It is 3:30. I am about to fall asleep.

What I do is to just avoid it for awhile, and consume caffeine.

yea i get it but i do go for my run at that time, probably not convenient for everyone but it makes me feel better at the end of school and focuses me, so i feel like working when i get back (4ish) and then my slump comes at about 6ish so i just watch the simpsons and hollyoakes simply on the "oo pretty colours" sorta level lol.
