The Student Room Group

general advice please

i need advice. i live in halls. and my flat mates make my life hell.
these people are on my course and so will be for the next 3 years. im writing a letter of complaint so ensure i get my deposit back for damage they have caused in the flat.
but in this shall i mention about them in general too.
being really noisy, banging on my wall, when they no im in there late at night/early morning
i dont want to seem like i am against people having fun, and i know people want to enjoy uni life, but consideration for others?
fair point, have you tried speaking to them about it?

Move. And if they ask why, then tell them that you've got friends in a different hall/block and a free room came up there so you took it.
don't you have a floor person? someone to tell if things like this happen?

Report them to the warden. If you don't your letter of complaint will look pretty pointless anyway as the uni can quite legitimately ask why it wasn't reported if it was so bad.

i only have about 12 weeks left here and its £50 to move. ive tried talking and they dont listen.
ive rang security up a few times and theyve come up and spoke to them, but they never actually do anything. just joke around with them.
they all have several warnings anyway so they'd believe me.
i just want to make sure i get my deposit back
explain to the people in charge of your hals = = if that doesn't work contact your university accomodation and campus services
