Personally I feel strongly against it yet I know many people think it's okay and normal, am I the only one who finds it disrespectful and insulting to not only the people involved but also to the other person in your relationship (if you are in one) ?

I don't see how porn is disrespectful to women, there are men too (in heterosexual porn) and thus both sexes get the same amount of exposure... I personally don't see much wrong with it but that maybe biased due to past 'scientific research'

Porn affects men and women there is not just a woman on your screen there is also a men. It's not only women that it may harm.

In terms of viewing habits in moderation it is not a problem to be honest though lifes usually better without it. In terms of relationships that's really up to the two individuals and their morality , I don't necessarily think watching porn means you will mistreat your partner although if you are talking mostly from the respect stand point I guess a partner could find it offensive. Once again this issue would be for the two to sort out.

I'm against it for myself. It's just personal opinion. I have nothing against people who do watch it. It's their choice.

There are too many high expectations from porn and makes people i.e. mostly the easily influenced younger generation feel the need to aspire to such ideals which are very unrealistic. It is also very harmful on relationships (both social and personal) once one becomes addicted or feels that they can only rely on watching porn for comfort/security etc.

but porn can be nice too I guess, if you don't get too attached ygm

Well my view on porn is usually fullscreen with my right hand "occupied" and my left hand on the keyboard if I want to change video.

I don't think it's necessarily something that should be banned but I don't think it's exactly the most healthiest thing either. People get too many dodgy perceptions of what sexual relationships are actually like through porn and porn is way too readily available to minors. I think it can be damaging but isn't always and so I don't think it should be banned just maybe people should be looking into ways to help limit its availability and people should also kind of learn that porn is made to entertain, it doesn't depict true sexual relationships.

I only mentioned women because that is the point of view I see it from but sorry I didn't mean to single them out as obviously there is more than one person on screen. I feel like the main issue is when people watch violent or abusive porn and then reflect that on their partners, but my personal problem is with a lack of respect for your partner if you're getting off from watching someone else, but some people don't have an issue with tha, which is why I wanted to see if I'm the only one

Who it's not aimed at and who shouldn't be watching it in the first place. Sex is not immoral, stop.

The people involved are paid and do it of their own accord. Not every relationship is so pathetically traditional that porn ist verboten. I'd never stop my partner from watching porn - I'd probably be more inclined to lend a hand.

No, sex is not immoral I agree, but I think it should be private and personal, not something that is deliberately done on camera for other people to watch, that's what I find so degrading and wrong
