Is it a field worth considering if i am not amazingly good at the a level economics and maths

Accounting and Finance is respectable from a good university, and you should be able to cope as the maths is usually minimal and economics usually only plays a small part.

If you're worried about it being too saturated i.e. too many people with A&F degrees, get one with experience and a guaranteed job at the end of it. Im talking the Flying Start Degree offered at Newcastle, Nottingham and Reading, the EY degree offered at Lancaster and the KPMG programme in collaboration with Exeter, Birmingham and Durham.
