Go to the pub alone, and challenge those terrible stereotypes.

Sad-o.
If you feel conscious of being alone in the pub you could always just get a drink and take a book.

Or, just stare into a glass of absinthe in a melancholic fashion like so:

I hear it's all the rage.

If you're female you might attract the wrong sort of attention.
I wouldn't but that doesn't mean you shouldn't. Like someone said above, take a book or something to do if you feel slef conscious.

If you really don't feel like being on your own, just stay home and use whatever's in the cupboard/rack to try some of the more interesting looking cocktails on www.drinksmixer.com .

I think drinking at home alone is worse than going to the pub. At least at the pub the bartender can decide when you've had too much!

It's usually easier for a lad to go on their own, and especially men, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it, loads of girls go for a drink on their own.

I went to the pub alone tonight, and is not the 1st time by a long way. I just find it relaxing and a good way to meet new people. Although quite often I end up not speekin to many people, I find it gives me time to think
I go to loads of places on my own: cinema, restaurant, shops, coffee shops... But I've never been to the pub on my own.
But why not? If you feel like it, just go.

I go to the pub by myself, though I tend to meet people there and if not talk to people, after a couple of times theres always someone in there that you know.

It's a sign that you are your own person and dont need to worry about the thoughts of halfwits that need to be around 667 "friends" in the in crowd. Who knows, you may meet some people in similar circumstances. Try trendy bars rather than old fashioned pubs.. avoid the dirty old men.
