Hi guys,
What do you think of the history programme at Royal Holloway? Does RH have a decent reputation for further study?

Royal Holloway being a part of the University of London gives it some prestige and you should be able to go on to Cambridge, LSE, UCL afterwards. RH has a really pretty cathedral and a great library too. RH is very english rosey.
I see you are in Israel. I would love to study at the Technion! I'm guessing you are jewish? Have you thought about University College London's 'History and Jewish Studies'. Being in the centre of London would be far better to be involved with synagogues etc.
Here, the University College London Institute of Jewish Studies.
London is more multicultural whilst RH is on the outskirt, out in Surrey and less multi.
The reason why I mention this is you might have a really good chance to get into a great university through a specialised subject and it might be more applicable to your life than british history at RH.

RH alumnus here.
Great University, with lots of amazing resources. Bedford Library isn't the best, but Founders is a great place to study if you can find a place.
In terms of study, RH has a very good reputation and a lot of people have gone on to top institutions for their Masters (e.g. Oxbridge, LSE, UCL and a few top US schools).

I studied History at RHUL and loved it. The history department comfortably ranks in the UK's top 20, and has done so for many decades.
Generally, Royal Holloway has a well-established and good reputation. It is one of the oldest universities in the country, and the third college to join the University of London in 1900. Like most universities it has various departmental strengths. Based on international rankings that don't bias the less science and engineering focused universities (Times Higher Education), Royal Holloway ranks is currently ranked 17th in the UK, 36th in Europe, and 118th in the world. It has a world-class campus and a world-class library currently in construction.

You could do a masters in international relations or political science for a career in government
