Hello,

So, as the title reads, All of my GCSE Art coursework, which i have done throught this school year (10) has been taken. At first, I thought it may just be missing, my teacher and I ravaged the classsroom in pursuit of it, I then went on to search every classroom in the school, but to no avail. I've told my head of year, and the head teacher, but noone seems to be doing anything at all, and even after my teacher had sent out an email to all staff, I have yet to hear anything.
MyWORK was all fairy decent- I had been predicted an A*, and after my straight A/A* grades in our mock exams, other students have been moderately scornful in perhaps singed spite. I don't have any particular negativeity between anyone in my school, but this is not the firstTIME something has been stolenWORK destroyed here. My father believes someone may have taken it in cold spite (he's especially enraged, after having undergone a simmilar situation in his own time at shool).

Anyway, aside from redoing all (and yes, e v e r ySINGLE piece ofWORK) of myWORK, what can I do??

Hello,
I know how frustrating this is as I managed to lose my art folder which had my art supplies, sketchbook, an artists biography etc. And the only thing you can really do is redo your sketchbook. If you had taken any pictures of your work previously I suggest you use that in your book. Due to lack of time I wasn't able to redo everything to the same strandard so I decided to only redo the pieces I liked the best and chose to use mediums I worked well with (so I stuck with watercolours and ink). You should stll try to vary your materials and experiment bht I wouldnt focus on that too much

For artists references I didnt replicate complete pieces like I had done in my previous sketchbook, I just chose a section of one painting which I found to be less time consuming. You also don't need to do excessive amounts of annotations on everything you do so only annotate pieces you think you can write the most about without boring the examiner - my teacher could not have stressed this more since me and my friends are prone to writing essays in outr sketchbooks😂
Also, if you did use a lot of references in your old book, cut down and select the ones that really highlight your development to the final piece.

There isnt much else you can do. Sorry, hope this helped a little!

Have you spoken to your teacher about possible next steps? I think they're probably in the best position to know what you need to do now.

Have you contacted the exam board for advise. If you haven't, then force your teacher to.

I'm really sorry but you will probably just have to redo it Because unless you can find any solid evidence it has been stolen I doubt anyone including the exam board can do anything about it. Do you have photos of your work?
