Can 40/50 in English language (IGCSE) be approximatly an A?

It's not an it's an A+.
I got 40/50 too in an IGCSE Mock.

The CIE? I got this and my teacher gave me an A. She said since we only did the one paper A*s cannot be awarded.

Sorry I did not make myself clear, would it be approx an A in terms of IGCSE coursework ( you know 40% coursework & 60% exam)

I don't know then.
I did an IGCSE English Mock and I got an A+ that is the highest grade you can get but I don't know where your coursework is at so yeah.

Most likely, but I do paper 2+3 so I don't have a coursework element
