I really love many areas of biomedical science but I really hate the idea of testing on animals. Are there any careers in this field that do not test on animals or use methods for research that do not require animals?

Thank you for your time.

There are many things that you can do with a biomedical degree without directly working with animal testing, but be aware most courses will have at least some animal dissections. You will learn techniques that would have originated from animal testing and possibly work with drugs, that vast majority of which would have been tested on animals or will have had animals used in the process, we would be nowhere near as medically advanced as we are today had we not done animal testing or used animals to create medical techniques and products..

Many career in biomedical sciences no longer need animals, but they were built on their use. Honestly if you're against animal testing full stop I think you should reconsider your career.
