City centre student flats might not be ideal for a PGCE student - especially ones that aren't built yet and so are likely to still have building work going on

http://www.sassh.co.uk/Accommodation has the approved housing for southampton - you have to register to search.
Are you bringing a car? That can make a big difference to where you would be best looking (although parking on campus is a pain a car can be handy for placements).

Hey,

London Road Studios are built already. You are welcome to come and have a look around. The current tenants that we have in London Road are all in their 2nd and 3rd year because they like the peace of it. Just an option anyway, would be happy to show you around if you come to Southampton Good luck in your search!

I'm sure they're lovely, and very convenient for Solent students - just a PGCE means lots of placements in schools around the area (and a lot of work outside school hours so not a lot of chances to earn extra cash or socialise) so most PGCE students I know of are more concerned with parking and cheapness than luxury city centre studios.

Where are the london road studios? I go down london road all the time on the bus and haven't noticed them - is it above tesco?
